On June 18, local representatives from Liv/giant stopped by the workplace of Team Group Health racer, Anne-Marije Rook, to personally deliver her new Envie Advanced 1 road bike.
With a mission of introducing women to “a whole new way of living,” Liv/giant is dedicated to providing female cyclists with the best products and resources to help them reach their goals.
Ridden by the world’s best female rider, Marianne Vos, Liv/giant offers a high-end performance line of road, mountain and cyclocross bikes specifically designed for women, with the brand-new Envie topping the line.
The lightweight Envie Advanced frame is handcrafted with Advanced-Grade Composite using AeroSystem Shaping technology. Each tube shape and junction was analyzed with Computational Fluid Dynamics research, wind-tunnel testing and athlete feedback to maximize the overall aerodynamic performance of rider and bike. Other new technologies applied to the Envie Advanced include its proprietary integrated SpeedControl SLR brake system. The composite reverse-position front brake and seatstay-mounted rear brake feature strategic positioning and specially designed trailing edges that help reduce overall wind drag.
As the world’s first true women-specific aerodynamic road bike, the Envie provides a shamelessly fast competitive edge for road races and time trials, and Anne-Marije is stoked to see where this bike will take her.
Since lining up for her first bike race in March 2011, Anne-Marije has raced her bike prolifically, in multiple disciplines, with great results.
Most recently, Anne-Marije took the General Classification at the Capital Stage Race after finishing second in the TT, first in the Crit and third in the road race.
We look forward to see her in action on the new bike!
