Join Team Thrive

Team Thrive is a significant and successful women’s team that competes in road, mountain, track and cyclocross. We focus on rider development, community involvement, leadership development, while never forgetting to have fun. Every fall, we welcome new and experienced riders who are interested in racing, from beginners to Cat 1/2/3s.  Recruitment for our team happens in late summer/early fall. During this time, teams will host Meet the Teams rides, and you’ll find an application on this page.

Application deadline is October 7th.

Our Meet the Team ride will happen October 1, 2017 meeting at 9:15 at Leschi Park (see http://www.wsbaracing.org/meet-the-team-rides—road.html for more details). Please come out and meet us if you are interested in any of our racing disciplines.

We will also have team members present at the Intro to Women’s Cycling and Racing Team rides on September 10 & 24, 2017. Whether you’re new to the racing community, looking to strengthen your riding skills, thinking about racing, or looking to speak with other women about local racing teams or riding opportunities, these rides are for you!

Another opportunity to meet us with be at the annual Washington Women of Cross Festival. It’s a day of clinics and cyclocross races for women. A great opportunity to try out cross racing and hang out with the team. More info at: https://www.facebook.com/WomenCX/

Racer benefits: We know that racing can be an expensive sport. To help offset the cost associated to training and racing, and to help athletes reach their potential, we offer a number of racer benefits. These benefits include generous race reimbursement, structured team fall/winter team training, skills clinics, sponsorships, a mentor program, and more. We want more of our racers to gain exposure and participate in important regional races. Beyond regional racing: In 2018, we will support a strong Team Thrive presence at the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, CA. This weeklong racing event provides opportunities to race road, mountain bike and cyclocross at all levels, as well as an opportunity to see some of the world’s top pros racing in the same disciplines. Team Thrive is proud to be able to develop and support racers throughout their cycling development – our racers should aspire to and have access to travel to races when they are ready. We also will likely host a weekend in Leavenworth for racing Tour de Bloom, and mountain and gravel riding.
