TGHer Marsa Daniel in the news; TGH meets Tyler Farrar

Our very own Marsa Daniel once again made the front page of, this time for her “strong” win at the Woodland Park GP. The finale of the MFG Cyclocross season, the Woodland Park GP is the best-attended race in the Seattle area, drawing around a thousand racers and spectators every year.

The course varies year-to-year, and racers this year were treated to two running sections, barriers, logs, and even a snow-machine.

Too far behind Kari Studley (Redline) and Emily Eggers (Blue Rooster) in the overall standings, Marsa wasn’t there to win the series, but her strong performance sure made things difficult for the leading women.

After a strong start, Marsa held the pace with the first group of women and soon made her way to front, breaking away from the lead group with only Mel Lewis (CycleU/PopCap) on her wheel. Marsa and Lewis had a fierce battle going on throughout the laps but Marsa proved to be the stronger of the two.

Following the Elite Women’s race, racers and spectators got a nice little surprise when Tyler Farrar (Garmin-Sharp) pulled up to the start line of the Men’s Pro/1/2 race. The Washington-native was a great sport. After a tenth place finish, he patiently posed for photos with his local fans, including the women of TGH:
